Join BELL Garden Executive Director, Deborah Stillwell as she shares the secret of making delicious handmade bread in only 5 minutes per day that is warm, fragrant and hearty! Gluten free options are available.

This will be a hands on class where students will enjoy getting their hands in the dough!  After sampling the delicious breads each student will take home dough ready to be baked and recipes.

Deborah has been a bread baker for over 25 years.  For years she baked sourdough bread weekly using an over 100 year old starter – baking over 1000 loaves – until she was diagnosed with Celiac Disease.  So, her bread baking had to change.  After several years of trying one of her favorites is baking the artisan bread featured in this class.

Deborah Stillwell is BELL Garden’s Executive Director, overseeing all operations of the garden.  Deborah is a Nashville native, graduating from Hillsboro High School and Vanderbilt University.  While expanding her gardening knowledge by working in the garden, it is her skill sets of fundraising, marketing, and volunteer management that Deborah enjoys using at BELL Garden, especially meeting and working with new volunteers and watching them live up to their potential.  Since BELL Garden is 100% volunteer-run, volunteers are always needed as we expand our gardens, programs, and outreach. Contact Deborah at deborah@bellgardentn.org if you, your office, school, or group are interested in being a part of BELL!
