I keep BELL Garden board minutes, inventory of products, and work in our BELL Garden Farm Stand. I also ensure our CSA customers receive their weekly items. I was born in Nashville, TN but grew up on a family farm in Kentucky. I worked in the tobacco fields alongside my father, where I learned what hard work looks like. I also helped my mom in the family garden, as we ate off of the food during the summer as well as the winter. My family returned to the Nashville area during my junior year of high school. I earned my undergraduate degree at Tennessee State University and a Master of Education from Lipscomb University, then spent my career as an educator with Metro Nashville Public Schools for 20 years. When I retired in 2025, I looked for something to do that would help others – never being one to sit still –  and found BELL Garden that November. I enjoy talking to others about the story of the garden and share the “why” behind what we do. BELL Garden is my peaceful and happy place to help serve others.
