I have been volunteering at BELL Garden for 15 months as a general volunteer and team lead. During that time, I have guided teams of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds in different tasks throughout the garden whether that be, planting, painting, harvesting, composting, irrigation, and equipment and facility maintenance. I love learning new things and BELL Garden loves teaching.
While I was born and raised in Atlanta, my parents immigrated here from Cuba and owned a successful restaurant for 26 years. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!). While my formative years were in the back of a restaurant, my post graduate years have been focused on Cybersecurity with a specialization in Fraud Prevention.
I currently live in East Nashville working in Deposit Operations for Volunteer Bank, a division of Lawrence bank and volunteer on the weekends whenever I am able. BELL Garden has been a joyous experience and has taught me many skills I use every single day whether on or off the clock.
